I am the mother of 2 grown daughters and the proud grandmother
of 2 grandsons. I have been involved with dogs all of my adult life. I
started out in Obedience with Labrador Retrievers. I was fortunate
to be able to combine my love of dogs and a business when I
owned and operated one of the largest training facilities in New
England, which I sold after 9/11. It was while training in obedience
that I saw and fell in love with Tibetan Terriers. I acquired my first
TT, Cooper, in 1996 and the rest as they say, is history.
Lyrac Tibetan Terriers is a small breeding program located in
Plainville, MA dedicated to maintaining the standards of this
incredible little dog. This wonderful breed, though relatively new to
the Western world, is considered one of the oldest in existence.
This is not a large kennel but rather a small program with only
about 1-2 litters per year. My goal is always quality rather than
quantity. There are no kennel runs. All of the dogs live in our home
and play together in the backyard.
I am a member of the Tibetan Terrier Club of America (look for me
on their Breeder Referral list), a board-member of Hockamock
Kennel Club & President of Bay Colony Tibetan Terrier Club.
2009 was a busy year here at Lyrac. Isis had her puppies (3 girls
& 2 boys - all black with white markings) on June 11th. Two of the
girls & one of the boys will be making their debuts in the show ring
this year. Alexis/Lexi is coming into her own and will be shown as
a Special. So if you see us at the shows please stop & say hello.
On a personal note my local TT club (Bay Colony Tibetan Terrier
Club) honored me last fall by electing me as their present. This
year will be very busy as we will be hosting not only our own
Specialty but the Tibetan Terrier Club of America's National
Specialty as well in Boxborough, MA.
It was also a good year physically for me as I lost 40 pounds with
